If your locks are in good condition, rekeying changes the internal pinning so old keys no longer work. It is usually cheaper than new hardware and takes less time. If the cylinder is worn or the hardware is failing, we will say so rather than rekeying something that is on its way out.
Master key systems done properly
A master key system is a plan, not just a set of keys. We map out which doors each key level should open, document the schedule, and set up the system so it can be expanded later without starting again.
When to rekey
After settling on a new property, at the end of a tenancy, when a key is lost or not returned, or when a staff member with access leaves the business.
Common questions
- How many keys do I get?
- You tell us. We cut the number you need at the time of work and can supply more later from the same key record.
- Can all my doors take the same key?
- Usually, if the cylinders are compatible. Where they are not, we quote for the cylinder swaps needed to make it possible.
